Sinister Bikes Freeride
Dane Berke- Milford Massachusetts. Pro Factory Rider/Bike Mechanic
Dane is the true definition of a rider. He excels at all disciplines of the sport but is most known for his bravado as a balls out freerider. Dane has been featured in videos, magazine and newspaper stories and even the cover of Singletracks magazine(IMBA), He has also competed in slopestyle, downhill and even 24 hour racing! This past season Dane performed at Pedrosfest as part of the Sinister Bikes jump jam and was routinely hitting the 35 plus foot hip gap! He also did some huge lines in British Columbia including a sick suicide no-hander on the road gap that Wade Simmons hit in "The Collective". He also led a group from Mountain Bike Action magazine out in his beloved "Vietnam" trail system where he has been wowing people for years.
Dane is also a test pilot for new Sinister designs and has been for 3 plus years. He is an artist and a scholar.
Knight Ide- Newark, VT- Pro Factory Rider/Owner-Old World Masonry
Knight is another go to guy when it comes to big freeride lines. 40 foot gaps?? no problem. Knight is all about amplitude. He lives in the mecca known as the Northeast Kingdom and is a legend in the area. Knight is a world class trail, park and dirt jump builder as well. He has been featured in films by veilleuxfims, and numerous newspaper articles including the front page of a Las Vegas newspaper during his recent freeriding trip there in March of 2007. He leads shuttle runs on Burke Mtn and will be resuming a tireless schedule in 2007, filming, competing and building. He is also an amazing skier and father!
Derek Stevens- Pro Factory Rider Full-time- Southwick Massachussets
Since busting onto the scene with huge moves the the last "Big Wheels" park contest at The Rye Airfield, Derek has left an indelible mark on the east coast park and jump scene. Derek's go for broke style and huge amplitude combined with a humble and approachable attitude make him the rider to watch in 2007. Derek was featured in this years smash video title, "The Chaos Theory" by Dan Bowhers and Steve Schinner of Quarter Productions.
He was a featured rider at the Pedros Fest Sinister Bikes Jump Jam, The Whaleback Jump Jam and The Greenwood School Jam. Derek is all about the filming and 2007 will be no different where is will undertake a huge amount of both video and photo sessions. Derek is also a pro-level snowboarder, and an incredible artist and musician.
Sasha Yakvoleff- Pro Factory Pilot/Student(Class President) Alstead, NHSasha "Yak Attack" has he has been affectionately dubbed by the Sinister Family, is the quiet "aw shucks" guy until he gets on a bike where he absolutely slays it! He is still in school and is the youngest member of the team but is mature beyond his years. He was also featured in several jump jams and movies this year but really made his presence known with his photo sessions. His image was used by Bern Helmets in 2 of their huge trade shows including this life-size shot that was there for thousands of people to see both at Interbike and at an Australian show.
on the other side of that huge poster was none other than the legendary skater, Andy Macdonald!
Look for another big year from Yak Attack! He is also on the Freestyle Ski Team at his school and is the class president!
